Dispusip Success in Organizing IKRA in 2021

Jakarta Library and Archives Agency had successfully organized Ringkas Aksara Family Initiative (IKRA) in 2021.

Reading quality books at home is expected to maintain people's interest and reading habits

IKRA activity was one of Regional Strategic Activities (KSD) which was carried out every quarter and became priority for Jakarta Library and Archives Agency in cultivating people's interest in reading by distributing quality reading books directly to public.

IKRA was expected to be alternative of positive activity for families during Covid-19 pandemic.

South Jakarta Pusip Distributes 500 Reading Books

"In 2021, IKRA involve more than 100 urban villages and sub-districts in Jakarta, with total participants of 5,641 families or 25,376 people, consisting of parents, children, and other family members," said Wahyu Haryadi, Head of Jakarta Library and Archives Agency, in a written statement received by Beritajakarta.id on Friday (12/10).

IKRA participants actively participated by reading books and documenting their activities in form of writing, photos, and videos. Reading quality books at home is expected to maintain people's interest and reading habits.

In this activity, reading books were distributed by TP PKK at urban village level to urban villages. TP PKK assisted in registering and distributing reading materials directly to IKRA participants.

This activity involved various elements of society in order to support the realization of Jakarta as City of Collaboration.
